As part of Back to the Future week, our weekly video dump is going to take you on a journey through the timeless viral videos that have been made over the past 25 years. Yes, we are aware that YouTube was invented five years ago, but that is not going to stop us from celebrating this glorious anniversary.
Brokeback to the Future
A classic pairing of Brokeback Mountain and Back to the Future imagines Marty and Doc in a forbidden romance across time itself. Tragic, beautiful, poignant, and hysterical.
Biff’s Song
Ok, it’s not really Biff’s Song. It’s actually Tom Wilson’s (that actor who played Biff), begging you to stop asking him questions about Back to the Future and begging you to think of him as something other than Biff Tannon. Yeah right, Tom.
Microsoft to the Future
Back when Microsoft was the undisputed king of the computing world there was cash to burn and we should all be glad there was. Microsoft hired Christopher Lloyd, found the DeLorean and paired them with an upper-level manager living his dream of playing Marty McFly for an introduction to some blah corporate event. It’s phenomenally awful in that way that only things done by clueless management can be funny.
Back to the Future: Animated Series Episode 1
Yeah, there was an animated series. Of course, Christopher Lloyd was in it. This is the entire first episode (if you’re so inclined).
Doc’s Kid Points to his…err..Flux Capacitor
Daniel Evans (it’s worth clicking that link to see that cute little kid all grown up, trust us) was obviously a sneaky young actor and managed to motion creepily and then point at his junk, no doubt delighting his friends at the time and providing fans a great Easter egg possibly topping the prankster who put a certain dirty word on the graffiti outside Hill Valley High School in the original Back to the Future.
2010 Scream Awards Trailer
A perfect recreation of the original teaser trailer, this promo for SpikeTV’s Scream Awards brings back Michael J. Fox for a nostalgic blast. Watching him conquer some of the obvious limitations imposed by Parkinson’s and still pull off another memorable Marty McFly performance is one of the most badass things we’ve seen.
Dinosaurs and Back To the Future in a Music Video
Shamelessly the author of the post included his own Back to the Future-themed “I’m A Dinosaurus” music video for a shitty rap song about a time-traveling dinosaur scientist. Feel free to take to the comments and tear me a new one for being such a jerk.
Simultaneous Back to the Future
This is a simultaneous presentation of the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance scenes from Back to the Future and Back to the Future II. Why should you care? Because it’s extra crazy to watch Marty’s adventure, side by side with himself in the same timeline.
Power of Love Original Music Video
With an official cameo from Christopher Lloyd reprising his role as Doc, this video for the greatest tune Huey Lewis ever recorded is a great way to finish this week’s blast from the past.
